The next Maternity Service Liaison Committee
The Maternity Service Liaison Committee meets the third Thursday every two months in Leeds West Yorkshire.
MSLC is made up of various maternity service professionals and engages service users in helping shape and improve services. It is overseen by the charity Women's Health Matters.
Working together professionals and service users MSLC has built strong partnerships with the Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust and the third sector and helping to support and inform national policies including the Maternity Strategy.
Over the last 5 years the MSLC has been effective in helping bring these different groups together to influence design and delivery of services and to provide a space for people to feedback issues and concerns. MSLC is a friendly welcoming place for a voice to be heard.
There are developments currently taking place in order to bring the maternity services in the UK to a regional way of working.
